Fire Safety Month

Papa Gino's is celebrating its 15th year of hosting Fire Prevention Open Houses throughout New England in October of 2009.  Since 1993,  Papa Gino's and New England fire departments have teamed up for the month of October to promote fire safety. The program, which has grown to include more than 100 stations throughout New England, demonstrates Papa Gino's real commitment to the community. The company provides press and educational materials that fire stations can use during their school outreach programs. They also provide pizza during the stations' open house events as well as fire hats for the children who visit. In the year 2007 alone, Papa Gino's donated nearly 15,000 pizzas to fire houses across New England.

Throughout the past 15 years, Papa Gino's has:

• Sponsored more than 1,800 Open Houses
• Donated more than 100,000 Large Pizzas
• Distributed more than 1,500,000 activity sheets and educational flyers

"We work closely with New England fire departments to support their efforts to increase awareness about fire safety," says Rick Wolf, Papa Gino's CEO. "These open houses have the potential to save lives, and we commend those fire stations who donate their time to educate the general public."
